UPDATE: Proceeds from this poster will go to support needs following the killing of a forest defender this morning at the hands of law enforcement. Solidarity! May their memory be for a revolution and a liberated future!

PRE-ORDER. SHIPS MID-FEBRUARY!

This months poster is inspired by the forest defenders in Atlanta who are resisting the destruction of the forest. The City of Atlanta wants to eliminate one of the four lungs of the city in order to build a police training facility, dubbed "Cop City," by locals, and swap land for a mega movie studio.

Tu B'Shvat is the new year for trees. As their sap awakens and begins to move, it calls to us to act in solidarity with their continued existence and growth. From the olive groves of Palestine to the Mother tree of Atlanta, we must demand FOREVER STOP CUTTING DOWN THE TREES. In Palestine, the people defending their olive trees from violent destruction are maligned as terrorists. In December 2022, six forest defenders were violently removed from the forest and tree sits and charged under Georgia's Domestic Terrorism Act. It isn't terrorism to defend the trees, it's a Jewish value.

The front poster image is from a banner that hung in the Atlanta forest, made by a child participant in the movement. The zine cover image shows a now destroyed tree sit with a banner that reads "no police, no pipelines, no prisons."

The design is printed in a tomato red on factory green paper from the French Paper Company. Each zine folds out into a 11x17 poster. It is risograph printed by Spina/Novoa in Tucson, AZ.

All poster proceeds go towards the Atlanta Solidarity Fund, who provide support for people who are arrested at protests, or otherwise prosecuted for their movement involvement in the Atlanta area.
