Tevet: Insomnia, Kafka, & the Modeh Ani [ships mid Jan]

$10.00

The 13th poster/zine in the series and the beginning of a new yearly cycle!

Insomnia, Kafka, & the Modeh Ani features illustrations from one of Franz Kafka's notebooks with the text of the morning bracha, Modeh Ani, overlayed.

The essay inside wrestles with the idea of where our soul travels during sleep, Kafka's struggles with insomnia, and the purpose of thanking the Divine Presence for returning our soul to our bodies each morning.

The poster could be hung by your bedside as a reminder to start your day with this bracha (blessing).

The design features a two-tone print in blue and gold. Each zine folds out into a 11x17 poster.

This zine is risograph printed by Spina/Novoa in Tucson, AZ. The zine is on a single sheet of 11x17 French paper.

All poster proceeds go towards the Blacklidge Community Collective, the community space where the Jewish Zine Archive is housed.
