Av: The Moon in Scorpio

$10.00

When Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon in 1969, he quoted Tehillim (Psalms) 8:4-5, which is pictured on this months poster.

The ninth installation of the monthly poster/zine series features a digital collage from Chava Shapiro along with short essay. Chava's grandfather was an engineer that worked on the Apollo lunar missions, including the mission that landed on the moon in 1969. The essay wrestles with the topics of imperfect ancestors, imperialism and war, mourning, Tisha B'Av, and the notion of Tikkun Olam.

Each zine folds out into a 11x17 poster.

This zine is risograph printed by Spina/Novoa in Tucson, AZ. The zine is on a single sheet of 11x17 French paper.
All poster proceeds go towards the Blacklidge Community Collective, the community space where the Jewish Zine Archive is housed.
